Anja Kobal
Diploma Student
Anja completed her Bachelor studies in Biochemistry at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. During that time, she worked in Jerala lab (Synthetic Biology and Immunology) at the National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana, where she also conducted her Bachelor's thesis on preparing new Cas9 and ExoIII protein variants. She is currently finishing her Master studies in Biotechnology at BOKU in Vienna and joined Bock lab in April 2022 to work on her Master's thesis, which focuses on determining the role of senescent cells in glioblastoma and Alzheimer's disease using single-cell CRISPR-screens and multi-omics approaches.
