Philipp Muench
Predoctoral Fellow
Philipp joined the lab in 2023 as a predoctoral fellow. He obtained his BSc and MSc in Biomolecular Engineering at the Technical University in Darmstadt. His expertise lies in the field of synthetic biology, where he worked on protein engineering of CRISPR-Cas systems to yield switchable variants using optogenetics and small molecule triggers. Philipp's current focus is on establishing lineage tracing, cell-identity backtracking, and cell-cell interaction recording to analyze and refine engineered immune cells.
